As an artist, writer, and science communicator, Sunita strives to make obscure topics tangible, inviting her audience to participate in a convergence of art, science and creativity. Sunita’s artistic practice is based in live-painting to music, embodying a visual artifact of a transient physical experience and challenging the notion of passive audience vs active performer. On the podcast Music for PhDs, Sunita and her co-host Dr. Kate Einarson interview musicians, scientists, and artists working at the intersection of music and the mind. Sunita has also co-authored a science fiction project with the writer Amorina Kingdon.

Sunita’s professional career has taken her from science centres to post-secondary institutions, where she strives to kindle an emotional connection to science and learning.
